Dr. Gary Schwartz graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1976. He obtained his medical degree in 1980 from New York Medical College. He then completed a surgical internship in 1981 and an Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1985. He went on to complete a fellowship in hand surgery and microsurgery at Duke University Medical Center in 1986. He is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery since 1989 with a certificate of added qualification in hand surgery since 1992. Dr. Schwartz has been in the practice of orthopaedic hand surgery since 1986.
