Dr. Grady Campbell joined the College of Allopathic Medicine in July 2017 as professor of medical education. He is currently helping develop the pre-clerkship phase of the M.D. student curriculum and will serve as a course director and facilitator when the college matriculates its first class, following LCME Preliminary Accreditation.
Dr. Campbell joined NSU in 2000 as assistant professor of biochemistry in the College of Medical Sciences. He served as a faculty member in the Department of Biochemistry for 17 years before joining the M.D. College.
Prior to joining NSU, Dr. Campbell completed postdoctoral research in exercise science and muscle physiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Dr. Campbell’s research interest is in the genetics of Congenital Stationary Night Blindness 2 and Aland Island Eye Disease.
A Florida native, Dr. Campbell holds a B.S in physics from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, an M.S. in Physics from University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
