NSU M.D. students have two major campus library resources: the Health Professions Divisions Medical Library and the Alvin Sherman Library, Research and Information Technology Center, with full in-person and online access to both.

NSU Health Professions Divisions (HPD) Medical Library
The HPD Medical Library, within a short walk to the M.D. College's classroom areas, includes more than 17,000 print volumes, 700+ electronic books, and 8,000+ active medical/health journal subscriptions in both print and digital formats, and study space. Many of the available electronic texts are required textbooks in various courses. The HPD Medical Library also provides a dedicated librarian who specializes in supporting research inquiries for students and faculty within the M.D. College.

Monday - Thursday: 7am to midnight
Friday: 7am - 9pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10am - midnight

Reference Desk Hours

Monday - Friday: 8:30 - 5pm

Nearby study center includes private study rooms during these same hours.
"Night owl" study center hours offered throughout high-volume times of the year.

The Alvin Sherman Library, Research and Information Technology Center
At five stories and 325,000 square foot, this is among the largest library buildings in Florida, with full collections of research materials, as well as specialized databases for medical science and education.
