Using Technology to Support Medical Education

Instructional Development. Curriculum content. Curriculum delivery planning.

With innovation at the core of the M.D. College's mission, we embrace any technology that supports the continual improvement of the learning experience for our students. The College has a dedicated Office of Medical Education and Innovation constantly seeking better ways to use technology to support and advance educational opportunities. Upon matriculation, all students will receive a tablet pre-loaded with software and textbooks that will enhance the educational process. Complete with state-of-the-art screens, cameras and simulation technology, our problem-based learning classrooms are intentionally designed to embrace technology and promote active learning with fellow student doctors. Rather than viewing a 2-D anatomical image in a textbook, students will have 3-D anatomy software, allowing them to zoom, "cut" and intimately examine the human body. The College also has a full-time educational technologist available to support students' technology inquiries and needs.
