Marilyn Gordon, Ed.D., RDN, CSSD, LDN

Dr. Marilyn Gordon is an Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine. She has built her career around health promotion and disease prevention using nutrition. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, credentialed by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has previously worked in the clinical setting and in a hospital-based fitness and rehabilitation center where she directed nutrition interventions for individuals recovering from cardiac, pulmonary, oncology, and surgical procedures.

Dr. Gordon began teaching 20 years ago, focusing on total wellness, fitness, nutrition, and stress management. In addition to her role with NSU MD, she is currently the Sports Dietitian for NSU’s Athletics Program which includes 17 Division II teams. She is Board Certified as a Specialist in Sports Dietetics by The Commission on Dietetic Registration. She is a provider of Medical Nutrition Therapy to NSU students, faculty, and staff.

Dr. Gordon earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Nutrition, Master of Science in Exercise Science/Wellness, and Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education.
