Christiane Chbib, Pharm.D., Ph.D., CPh, is a clinical pharmacologist, licensed consultant pharmacist, and educator with extensive experience in pharmacology education, pharmacotherapy, and interdisciplinary health professions training. Prior to her current academic appointment, Chbib served as a clinical faculty member at Larkin University College of Pharmacy, where she contributed extensively to pharmacology and clinical therapeutics education. She has collaborated closely with medical and podiatric medical programs. She is a recipient of multiple Professor of the Year teaching awards in recognition of her excellence in education and student mentorship.

Chbib’s primary research focus centers on the design and synthesis of novel chemical entities with therapeutic potential. Her work specifically targets bacterial quorum sensing mechanisms as an innovative strategy to combat infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance. She has authored several original research manuscripts, abstracts, and book chapters in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy and has presented her research at national and international scientific meetings, including the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).

Her research has received multiple grant awards supporting projects focused on optimizing drug dissolution and quantification techniques in biological matrices using advanced analytical methodologies. She currently collaborates with the Vaccine Nanotechnology Laboratory and the Center for Drug Delivery Research at Mercer University to evaluate the immunogenic potency of newly synthesized molecules aimed at vaccine development and infectious disease prevention.

Chbib serves as an editorial board member for Frontiers in Public Health and as guest editor for a special issue in Vaccines focused on novel adjuvants and delivery systems.
