Megan Finck joined the Nova Southeastern University faculty in 2016 and serves as an associate professor in the Physician Assistant (PA) program. Professor Finck received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Delaware and completed her PA training at Nova Southeastern University in Jacksonville, where she earned a Master of Medical Science degree. She is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Medical Science program at Arkansas Colleges of Health Education.
Professor Finck practiced clinically as a PA in pediatrics and family medicine, where she served as a preceptor for students during their clinical rotations. She serves as an associate editor for the Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice and is involved in peer review for several other professional publications. She has published research on interprofessional education and has presented at local, regional, and national meetings and conferences. Advocating for the PA profession is an important part of being a PA, and Professor Finck is an active member of PA professional organizations including the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), the Florida Academy of PAs (FAPA), and the PA Education Association (PAEA). In addition to involvement in PA organizations, she served as a Community Volunteer for the Florida/USVI Poison Information Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
Professor Finck is originally from central New York and has been living in the Jacksonville area for over 25 years. She is an avid reader who enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She is delighted to be a faculty member in the same program where she completed her PA training, and she considers it an honor to educate future members of the PA profession.
