Peter G. Holub, D.P.M., Ph.D., has a background in podiatric medicine, having owned and operated a sports medicine practice for eight years. He then applied a similar preventive medicine-focused approach while serving the Leech Lake Indian Reservation for another eight years. His success in significantly reducing amputation rates drew the attention of the head of the Center for Locomotion Studies at Penn State, where he was invited to teach and conduct research on the application of biomechanics in injury prevention.
While at Penn State, Holub earned a master’s degree in kinesiology, an accomplishment he values as highly as his clinical degree. He later transitioned from direct patient care to pursue a Ph.D. in Computer Technology at Nova Southeastern University, with the goal of expanding his impact on patient health through the education of future healthcare providers.
Currently, Holub teaches a variety of online courses, including medical ethics, cultural competence, narrative medicine, sports medicine, and healthcare education.
