Supporting Our Students

The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) serves as a resource for Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD) students by promoting student wellness and supporting personal and professional growth and development throughout your medical school journey.

The OSA cultivates diversity and a culture of inclusion in a learning environment that embodies principles of integrity and mutual respect while training students in professionalism. By investing in students as colleagues and in support systems that facilitate student success, OSA services strive to achieve the mission, vision, and core values of the university and college.

How the OSA Supports Student Success

Connects students with health and wellness resources to maintain physical, mental, and spiritual health.
Encourages community engagement and relations with local organizations.
Matches students with tailored tutoring assistance.
Supports student organizations and plans student activities and events.
Provides academic and career advising.
Maintains student records.
Processes course registration.
Certifies graduation requirements and provides documentation to support application and medical licensure processes.
Enforces academic policies and procedures:
- Student Mistreatment Policy
- Reporting
Supports students with the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS).
Oversees the residency match process.
Plans class-wide events, including Orientation/Teambuilding Day, White Coat Ceremony, Pinning and Oath Ceremony, Awards Ceremony, Match Day, and Commencement.
Partners with the Student Financial Assistance Office to provide financial education and literacy, including debt management and scholarship opportunities.
