Dr. Anita Laloo, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida. She attended medical school at the University of the West Indies, Faculty of Medical Sciences, St Augustine, Trinidad where she earned her medical degree. She served as a Primary Care Physician with the Ministry of Health in Trinidad for several years where she was actively involved in teaching medical students. She earned a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management from New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York.

Dr. Laloo completed residency training in Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She subsequently pursued a fellowship in Rheumatology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. During her training, she has been involved in many research projects, some of which have been published along with several other case reports and review articles.

Dr. Laloo has always had a keen interest in medical education and is excited to be joining as an Assistant Professor in the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University. She is committed to medical excellence and to improving the medical educational experience for current and future medical students.
