Jeremy Katzman is Director of Business Development for Nova Southeastern University and serves as part of the Health Professions Division’s leadership team. He oversees a multi-disciplinary group focused on university-wide strategic business development initiatives. He also serves as Co-Director of the NSU Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine’s (NSU MD) Executive Leadership Council and is an Assistant Professor, Affiliated, Medical Education.

With more than 18 years of experience in communications and marketing, business development and leadership, Katzman specializes in finding innovative solutions to advance strategic business priorities. He joined NSU in 2013 and has held several roles in the organization, including Director of Public Relations and Marketing on the founding team that established the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine and leading communications for the Health Professions Division, which includes seven colleges.

Prior to joining NSU, he led communications and online fundraising for Miami Children's Hospital Foundation, where he focused on supporting programs and initiatives that helped children facing life-threatening illnesses. He previously served as an Account Executive at O'Connell & Goldberg Public Relations, where he provided expertise to clients in a variety of industries, including health care, non-profit, hospitality and sports.

Katzman serves as an elected City Commissioner in Cooper City, Florida and is involved in a variety of civic and professional organizations. He is a Board Member Secretary of the Leadership Broward Foundation; a Board Member of the Broward County League of Cities; a Host Committee member for Florida’s Children First, which supports children in the foster care system; an Advisory Council member for the Area Agency on Aging of Broward County; a member of Broward Days; and participates in several other organizations. He has served as Chair, Chair-elect and Treasurer for the PRSA Sunshine District, which is one of 10 districts in the nation and encompasses all of Florida and is past President of the PRSA Greater Fort Lauderdale chapter. Katzman is a long-time volunteer for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and previously served as Chair of its Young Adult Board.

Katzman has received numerous awards, including South Florida Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, South Florida Business and Wealth's Excellence in Health Care Rising Stars Award and Communicator of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Greater Fort Lauderdale Chapter. He also has judged awards for the state's Holocaust Essay Contest, Association of American Medical Colleges' Group on Institutional Advancement, and Public Relations Society of America.

Katzman is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) by the Universal Accreditation Board. He earned his M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University and holds a B.A. in public relations and a B.S. in political science from the University of Florida (UF). He is a member of the UF Hall of Fame and Florida Blue Key.
