Jeremy Katzman is Director of Business Development for Nova Southeastern University and serves as part of the Health Professions Division’s leadership team. He oversees a multi-disciplinary group focused on university-wide strategic business development initiatives. He also is senior adviser to the Dean and Co-Director of the NSU Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine’s (NSU MD) Executive Leadership Council, managing advocacy and community outreach efforts for the medical school.

With nearly 15 years of experience in communications and marketing, business development and leadership, Katzman specializes in finding innovative solutions to advance strategic business priorities. He joined NSU in 2013 and has held several roles in the organization. Most recently, he served as a founding member of the NSU MD leadership team. In his role as Director of Public Relations and Marketing, he was the college’s primary spokesperson and chief communications officer, oversaw the development and implementation of its communications plan and served as an advisor to the dean for strategic planning, communications, business development, operations and other special projects. He previously was an Associate Director of Public Affairs for NSU. His duties included providing public relations and marketing support for the Health Professions Division, which consists of eight colleges (allopathic medicine, dental medicine, health care sciences, medical sciences, nursing, optometry, osteopathic medicine and pharmacy), along with NSU’s Division of Translational Research and Economic Development and biotech areas. He also chaired the university-wide Research Campaign which developed strategic communications campaigns to support investments in NSU’s research endeavor.

Prior to joining NSU, he served as associate director of public relations and e-philanthropy for Miami Children's Hospital Foundation. His primary focus was to manage and enhance the foundation's brand and message by serving as the primary media contact, spokesperson and copywriter and also managing the organization's website and social media presence. He previously served as an account executive at O'Connell & Goldberg Public Relations, where he provided expertise to clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, non-profit, hospitality and sports. He also worked in the marketing department at Mednax.

Katzman was named 2018 Communicator of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Greater Fort Lauderdale Chapter. He is 2019 chair-elect and was 2018 treasurer of the PRSA Sunshine District, which encompasses all of Florida and includes seven chapters from Jacksonville to Miami. He was president of the PRSA Greater Fort Lauderdale chapter in 2015 and continued on the board in various roles through 2018.

Katzman is a graduate of Leadership Broward Class 34 and served on the Core Planning Committee and Co-Chair of Government and Education Day for Classes 35 and 36. He was appointed in 2018 to the Cooper City Planning and Zoning Advisory Board and served on the city's Education Advisory Board from 2017 to 2018. He serves on the Health and Human Services Impact Team for Broward Days and the Marketing Conference Advisory Committee for the Association of American Medical Colleges' Group on Institutional Advancement. He also is a long-time volunteer for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and previously served as chair of its Young Adult Board.

Katzman is accredited in public relations (APR) by the Universal Accreditation Board. He earned his M.B.A. from Nova Southeastern University and holds a B.A. in public relations and a B.S. in political science from the University of Florida (UF). He is a member of the UF Hall of Fame.
