Nova Southeastern University’s Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD) Master of Biomedical Sciences (M.B.S.) program offers a distinct competitive advantage for applicants applying to health professions degree programs. We are dedicated to supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of academic preparation as they work toward achieving their dream careers in healthcare.
Our students benefit from program-specific affiliation agreements with several highly competitive NSU health professions programs, including Doctor of Medicine (NSU MD), Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA), Physician Assistant (PA), Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, and Optometry.
Starting in the Fall 2025, our program offers two tailored pathways designed to support students in achieving their professional goals:
This pathway is ideal for applicants seeking to strengthen their academic credentials to gain acceptance into the NSU MD program or other medical schools. Students complete coursework equivalent to the first year of medical school, taught by NSU MD faculty, to demonstrate their readiness for the rigors of a medical school curriculum.
Eligible students benefit from the following opportunities:
- Conditional Acceptance to NSU MD: Top-performing M.B.S. students who meet specific academic and professional benchmarks, satisfy NSU MD admissions criteria, and complete all academic prerequisites will be granted acceptance into the NSU MD program*.
- Guaranteed Interview: Students who do not qualify for conditional acceptance may still be eligible for a guaranteed interview with NSU MD by meeting specific requirements.
* Please note that the final determination of admission into the NSU MD program is at the discretion of the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine. To learn more about the professional and academic requirements for gaining acceptance or guaranteed interview with NSU MD, please contact our admissions representative at mbsprogram@nova.edu

- Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.)
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.)
