About the Program

The Graduate Certificate in Human Health curriculum is designed to provide you the opportunity to enhance your academic background in preparation for medical school or other health care career studies.  If you are more inclined to pursuing a career in research, you will be more prepared for entrance to biomedical science graduate programs or research in the biomedical/biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries. In addition to providing foundational human health courses, this program is designed to cultivate lifelong learning, scientific inquiry/reasoning, and communication skills.

Similar to students in the NSU M.D. program, you will be introduced to a variety of teaching and learning methods such as small group learning (e.g., problem-based learning and team-based learning) with foundational science knowledge and an emphasis on clinical correlation, enhanced by the use of innovative teaching modalities. The intensive curriculum is aimed at preparing you for the rigors of medical school.
