Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD) hosted its fourth 5K Dash for Diversity on Saturday, September 23, 2023 to celebrate diversity in our communities. We came together to raise funds that support our pathway programs that encourage diverse high school students to consider a career in medicine.

These pathway enrichment programs engage high school students who are underrepresented in medicine. Through mentorship and various science, technology, and math-related activities, students learn about health care careers and how science applies to various disciplines.

Funds raised from the Dash for Diversity 5K go directly into these pathway programs.

Diversity Pathway and Outreach Programs

NSU MD faculty, staff, and students engage with high school and college students through a wide range of programs.

Pathway Programs – High school students learn about careers in medicine and how to build academic requirements for medical school.

Outreach Programs – Through a variety of events and celebrations, NSU MD engages with the community to attract the next generation of students to the field of medicine.
