Hybrid, Problem-Based Learning Curriculum
Looking for a program to help you succeed with admission into a graduate health professions program, doctoral STEM program, or health care-related career?
The Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD) M.B.S. program has created a two year, 36 credit research track.
This curriculum will still give you experience in courses typically taken during the first year of health professions or graduate degree programs, with an emphasis on clinical application. In addition, you will gain research experience working alongside NSU’s cutting-edge research faculty.
The M.B.S. research track will provide you an even more competitive edge by combining experience in clinically-applied science courses with one year of research driven by you.
Graduation Requirements
The research track only accepts students for fall matriculation. To be eligible for the research track M.B.S. degree, you must successfully complete eleven required courses and one elective courses for a total of 36 credits. In addition, degree conferral requires submission of the research manuscript generated during your second year to a peer-reviewed journal for publication and a presentation of the research project to a NSU audience.
This track is completed over two years and each semester requires only three courses. Like the M.B.S. accelerated track, the research track can be fully completed in our synchronous, live-online with an instructor format, making it a flexible curriculum that will suit your busy life.
