Dr. Irving Rosenbaum has significant higher education and government administration experience. He oversees administrative functions for the College of Allopathic Medicine, including finance, human resources, communications and development. He also is executive dean of the Nova Southeastern University Health Professions Division, which encompasses eight health-related colleges, including the M.D. College. Dr. Rosenbaum has held several roles at NSU since he joined the university in 1976, including assistant vice chancellor for professional affairs at NSU’s Health Professions Division, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at the NSU Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, and as a faculty member.

Prior to joining NSU, Dr. Rosenbaum spent nearly a quarter century in city management serving as city manager of Hollywood, FL, town administrator of Davie, FL, assistant to the mayor in Lauderhill, FL, and in New York City government. He is an organizer and director of Stonegate Bank. Dr. Rosenbaum's public service activities include serving as chair and vice-chair of the Broward County Higher Education Facilities Authority, on the State of Florida Public Service Commission Nominating Council, and as a member of the Broward County Charter Review Commission. His current activities include serving as chair of the Davie Economic Development Council and as a director of the Greater Plantation Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Board of Palmetto General Hospital. He serves on the boards of the American Diabetes Association and the Holocaust Documentation and Education Center of South Florida and is president of the Soreff Jewish Community Center. Rosenbaum has chaired multiple charity events in Broward County, including the March of Dimes 2013 March for Babies and 2012 American Cancer Society Birthday Ball.

Dr. Rosenbaum earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science, with honors, from the State University of New York and his Master's in Public Administration from Bernard Baruch College, City University of New York. He received a Doctor of Public Administration degree and an Ed.D. in Higher Education, both from NSU.
