Dr. Vincent Cimmino is a highly-accomplished surgical oncologist and an expert in medical school admissions. He is advising the College of Allopathic Medicine on its admissions process in order to ensure, upon preliminary accreditation, the college will matriculate the highest-level medical students who have an aptitude for leadership. Dr. Cimmino previously served as a professor of surgery at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor and specialized in melanoma and breast cancer. He is a graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey at Newark, NJ. He completed his surgical training at the University of Michigan and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Cimmino is a member of a number of surgical societies including the American College of Surgeons and the North American Chapter of the Society of Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery. He has a strong interest in medical education and was a member of the Medical Education Scholars Program at the University of Michigan.
