As a medical student at Nova Southeastern University's Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine (NSU MD), you’ll build diagnosis and detective skills with patients at the center of every case. We do this through our curriculum, assessment, and advising that prepare you to be a life-long learner and critical thinker.
Rich Learning Environment
Our innovative approaches to medical education include:
- Integrated basic science and clinical courses.
- Problem and case-based learning in small groups and teams.
- Clinical skills gained from day one.
- Early clinical immersion starting in year one.
- Weeks set aside for reflection and integration throughout medical school.
I am so glad that NSU MD gave me a shot at an interview. The faculty and staff are diverse, the curriculum is dynamic, and I have gained many mentors who continue to help me throughout my journey.

Interprofessional Education
Interprofessional education, a team-based approach to the delivery of care, has the potential to improve outcomes while reducing costs and medical errors. On campus, you’ll learn alongside students training as pharmacists, nurses, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other health care specialists.
Meaningful Clinical Experiences
Gain broader experience and patient diversity through rotations at multiple clinical locations, including our new onsite teaching hospital. Our preferred hospital partner, HCA East Florida, employs 6,000+ physicians across 14 hospitals, surgery centers, imaging centers, free-standing emergency care facilities, and a regional lab.
Residency Program Matches
At NSU MD, 100% of our 2022 and 2023 medical students were matched with a residency program. This success speaks to the excellence and passion of our students and the faculty and staff who support them.
